How do I change my username?

If you are using the desktop site and would like to change the username associated with your CarGurus account, follow these steps:

• Select your current username.
• Select My Account from the drop-down menu.
• Under Account settings, find the Username field and select Edit.
• Enter your new username and select Save.

If you created your account by signing in with Google, Facebook or Apple, this option will not be available. Your username is linked to that account and cannot be changed. You will need to create a new CarGurus account.

Username requirements

• Your username must be unique and not already in use by another user.
• Your username may contain only letters and numbers.

Please note that you can change your account settings only on our desktop site or in a mobile browser. The CarGurus mobile app does not currently support account changes.
